Ehrman is a credible Biblical scholar, but as a Skeptic and a former professing Christian, he often lets his biases get in the way and reaches conclusions not warranted by the evidence. On the plus side, he has little tolerance for some of the crazier atheiest ideas like the Jesus myth (claim that Jesus did not exist).
